One thing I find helpful is being outside. Even though the weather is pretty dismal and I have to deal with wet dogs, somehow taking one foot and putting it front of the other, even if it’s in wet mud, can really help lift my mood. In the North of England today we’re bracing ourselves for further restrictions and more bad news. What can we do? In  Dr Lucy Hone’s great TED talk she talks about these three approaches to improve our resilience:

  • Acknowledging we all face challenges
  • Tune in to what’s good in your world
  • Is the way you are thinking / behaving / acting helping or harming you
